    Slaven Bilic is confident he will be confirmed as West Ham United’s manager within the next 48 hours, although the success of his application may hinge on the club’s current first choice, Marcelo Bielsa, signing a contract extension with Marseille.
    Roy Hodgson’s dissatisfaction with England’s performance against the Republic of Ireland has led to him “reminding people of their responsibilities” and to make it clear to Wayne Rooney that he expects more from his captain.
