POEM: Against The Odds

Against the odds

I have lived,
I have learnt,
I have frozen
I have burnt.

Life called me,
I answered,
Nature led,
I followed.

What a narrow way thru u
Only d strong in faith
Shall see thru.

I dream of skies,
I think of lies,
To tell myself
Knowing quit well
That I can't pay d price.

My heart is frozen,
My lungs are freezing
Guilt bigger than my liver,
Eyes seen, ears heard,
Tongue tasted feet hurt.

Curiosity killed d cat,
Satisfaction pleaded her memory
Truth denied by the guilty
What a land of purity,
Darkness tricked d light
The light heard,
still remain reluctant

D wicked good,
Unpredictablity be its nature
The future is bright,
I'm still yet to see the light
To admire her brightness
And make her my guide

In walking through my path.
Words won't stop flown thru my mouth
My curiosity is still bent on
Unveiling what lays behind that narrow gate,
Patience being d pilot of my gentle and calm quest

I'll just have to study history harder,
In order to pass life's constant and many trials
Success I claim in the quest to
Become one of failures many rivals
