Confederate flag's half-century at South Carolina Capitol ends

The Confederate battle flag has been lowered from a pole on the grounds of the South Carolina Capitol, ending more than 50 years of the banner flying at the property. The flag will go to a state military museum about a mile down the road, where it will be exhibited.
