End Boko Haram Insurgency In Three Months, Buhari Tasks Service Chiefs

President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria on Thursday, August 13, 2015, ordered the newly appointed Service Chiefs three months to end Boko Haram insurgency in the country.

Buhari gave the order after decorating the officers whose appointments were announced two months ago.

He advised them to be accountable for all men and equipment under their command, with the welfare of the troops uppermost in their minds.

The president also pledged to support them, while urging them to protect innocent civilians as well as respect the rights of combatants to earn the support of Nigerians and the international community.
