Protest as UNILAG female first-class student gets electrocuted

There was confusion on Wednesday at the University of Lagos, Akoka, Lagos State, as students went on the rampage after a female student got electrocuted in the institution on Tuesday night.

PUNCH gathered that the female student, Oluchi Anekwe, was a 300 Level student of the department of Accounting. She was said to be a first-class student.

PUNCH correspondent, who was at the scene, observed that policemen from the Bariga and Sabo divisions were at the campus gates to contain the rampaging students.

Vehicular movements into and out of the school were were at a standstill as of the time of filing this report.
