Three undergraduates of OOU and LASPOTECH arrested for cultism

Three students have been arrested by the police for alleged membership of a secret cult. Two of them are students of the of the Olabisi Onabanjo University, OOU, Ago-Iwoye, while the third is a student of the Lagos State Polytechnic.

The spokesperson of the police in Ogun, Muyiwa Adejobi, stated that the culprits also confessed to being members of the groups after their arrest.

In a statement on Sunday, Mr. Adejobi said the suspects were arrested in various locations in Ago-Iwoye on September 12.

He listed the suspects as Tobi Richard, Babatunde Abiodun and lfeanyi Ubamwa.

“The cult members were arrested at different locations within Ago-Iwoye x, one Tobi Richard ‘m’ of Dept of political science, Olabisi Onabamjo university Ago Iwoye, 200level, aged 23 yrs, member of Alora Buccernia confraternity, Babatunde jubril Abiodun ‘m’, aged 25 yrs, Dept of Geography Education, 400 Level, OOU, of Alora Buccernia confraternity and lfeanyi Ubamwa ‘m’ x of Lagos State Polytechnic, LASPOTECH HND 1, Dept of Banking &finance, aged 23 yrs, a member of Eye confraternity,” he said.

Mr. Adejobi said the suspects will be charged to court upon completion of investigation.
