Woman, 82, accused of assault which left four police officers injured

Four police officers were injured and one needed hospital treatment after allegedly being assaulted - by an 82-year-old GRANNY.

Margaret Reynaldo has been charged with two counts of assaulting a constable in the execution of their duty following an incident in Basingstoke, Hants, last month.

The pensioner will appear in court on September 29.

Tweeting about the incident, John Apter, chairman of the Hampshire Police Federation said: “Four officers were assaulted in one incident in Basingstoke.

"One received hospital treatment the other 3 more minor.”

Jason Reynaldo, 49, was also charged with three counts of assaulting a constable.
