Knifeman who stabbed mum in front of her two children and left her for dead SMILES as he's jailed for 15 years

A vicious knifeman who stabbed a young mum in front of her two children SMILED as he was sentenced to 15 years behind bars.

Anthony Johnson, 31, repeatedly knifed his ex Lindsey Pawson, 24, and then left her for dead, a court heard.

Previously he subjected her to months of violent and controlling behaviour and accusations of cheating, the Manchester Evening News reports .

He grinned as he was jailed at Manchester Crown Court, thanked the judge, and then said to Miss Pawson "I am sorry... you little s***".

Moments earlier Judge Richard Mansell QC said Johnson, of Rochdale, was a ‘dangerous man’ who had shown no remorse.

He will not be able to apply for parole until he has served ten years, and even after release he will remain on licence and at risk of being recalled to jail until 2036.
