Judge closes investigation of Neymar on rape allegation

A Brazilian judge has accepted recommendations from prosecutors to close the investigation of striker Neymar on a rape allegation because of a lack of evidence against him.

Sao Paulo state prosecutors Flavia Merlini and Estefania Paulin announced that they agreed with a police decision not to bring charges in the case and judge Ana Paula Vieira de Moraes issued an order closing the case on Thursday night.

Najila Trindade, a Brazilian model, had accused the 27-year-old Paris Saint-Germain striker of raping her at a Paris hotel in May, but Neymar vehemently denied the allegations, saying his relations with Ms Trindade were consensual.

"We decided in favour of the closing of the case because there is no sufficient evidence," prosecutor Merlini said at a news conference.

Prosecutor Paulin said the model did not produce any of the evidence she claimed she had, including a video that allegedly proved the player attacked her.

Sao Paulo police are still investigating whether Trindade falsely reported a rape.

Neymar is also being investigated by police in Rio de Janeiro for publishing images of his accuser on social media without her permission, along with WhatsApp messages they exchanged.

On Instagram in June, Neymar had posted a seven-minute video in which he insisted the accusations were a "setup".

"I never believed anyone when they said it will become easier and almost painless eventually, but it has.

"I can’t even remember when it changed.

"But 10 weeks in and it feels so much better.

Don’t compare Naira Marley to Fela – Mabiaku

Veteran Musician and producer, Dede Mabiaku has described the comparison between Azeez Fashola aka Naira Marley and the legendary Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, as inappropriate.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria report, Mabiaku slammed fans who described Naira Marley as a rising Fela, adding that it trivalised the essence of Fela’s struggles.

He said, “I hear a lot of people comparing that young man to Abami Eda, Fela Anikulapo Kuti. Why are you trivialising the essence of your matrys?

“Why are you bringing down Fela Anikulapo Kuti? Why are you rubbishing the essence of him in this corridor of nothingness? The boy, was he right in doing what he did? Ask yourself.

“Because everything he (Fela) did was based on enlightening the people, wake up the minds of the people for the development of the society the right way with respect and regard for our cultures and traditions,” he said.

Mabiaku also addressed the internet fraud menace which Naira Marley was entangled with. In May, the singer was remanded in prison following a police investigation linking him with internet fraud.

According to Mabiaku, internet fraud was not justifiable in any form, even for reparation which fraudsters often refer to as a defence.

He said, “The typical African culture and tradition teaches you not to steal or do tricks to rip off the next man of what is duly his.

“Some people are talking of reparation. You come out and stand up to say ‘this is what my rights are. You denied me of my rights and I want them back and by law and by rights, I am going to fight for it’.

“And you duly fight for it, not sneak through the computer to carry people’s money and do yahoo or 419.

“And you come and relate yourself as the same with Baba? We should be careful the kinds of things we say lest the future holds us for account.

“We must be careful and that young man should now desist from letting his colleagues make him look like he is a Fela wannabe because of the situation he has gone through. No, you are not a Fela.

He also said that fraudsters made no efforts to build the society especially as they claim to seek revenge for the society by ripping off other people.

He said, “How many of the young boys who have done this yahoo thing have invested back into the society the right way.

“If you say it’s because your right you are doing it, then a group of you should come together, invest in a business where you have young researchers and a young team to make agriculture grow, the build a school, a hospital.

Mabiaku also slammed the ‘soapy’ dance as immoral and un-African. He further bemoaned the rate with which culture and regard for values have eroded.

NAN reports that following his prison stint, Naira Marley released ‘Soapy’, song and dance which mirrored male masturbation.

The dance has drawn several criticisms from fans and celebrities alike including Guinness world record holder, Kaffy who described it as ‘appropriate’.

EFCC arrests Naira Marley

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested Nigerian musician, Naira Marley, real name Afeez Fashola.

The fast-rising singer is currently being questioned at the EFFC office in Lagos.

Although the reason behind his arrest is yet to be made public, it might be in connection with his statements on social media which glorifies internet fraudsters, popularly called Yahoo boys.

The EFCC spokesperson could not be reached early on Friday, but a top source at the agency confirmed the arrest to PREMIUM TIMES.

Perhaps coincidentally, Naira Marley released the official video of his hit track, ‘Am I A Yahoo Boy’ featuring Zlatan on Thursday

Naira Marley during a recent Instagram live session, urged Nigerians to pray for internet fraudsters (Yahoo boys) saying they are the reason money circulates to the common man.

He said: “All you guys, all the money in your pockets, all the money you spend, you think it’s the government that is making the money go round?”

The video has since stirred reactions from Nigerians who described Marley as a disgrace and bad example to young Nigerians.

However, a few Nigerians supported Marley, staying that Yahoo boys were the reason some Nigerians can eat and survive.

The singer is popular for his 2017 hit song titled ’It’s a goal.’

Mel B went on secret celebrity date after 'picking his penis' from bizarre dating site

Mel B has revealed that she went on a secret date with an unnamed celebrity after picking his willy from a website.

As part of her new autobiography, Brutally Honest, Mel, 43, spilled the secret of a dating site used by celebs in LA where potential partners are picked out by photos of their penises.

The Spice Girl - who divorced husband Stephen Belafonte last year - said: "A gay friend told me about a secret website where famous unattached guys put up images.

"I was in Soho House on a night out with a couple of girlfriends when the images came through. Erect privates were lined up against a milk or juice carton so you could gauge the size.

"I shut my laptop. Then, obviously, opened it again. We spent the next few hours laughing and gawping. I called my friend and said: “Now what?” "You choose one and I will make a discreet introduction,” he answered."

She said that she went for it - however she refuses to reveal his name - and adds it was far from romantic.

"A few days later, I met him (young, handsome, very famous) in a hotel room. It was horribly awkward and nothing happened (it was obviously easier with a milk carton).

"I tried again with another famous penis in another hotel room. Same result. Aaarghhhh.

"Mortifying. I’d have had better luck in Leeds with a builder. I gave up on famous penises and had a few encounters with normal, regular guys. Way better."

Meanwhile in the book, she documents her addiction to cocaine, which she said was fuelled by depression due to being in an abusive relationship with her then husband, Stephen.

She said she would begin each morning by waking up and taking a line of coke, which would fuel her into going in to her day job at Simon Cowell's reality show in 2014.

“I was a sad, pathetic person. I was out of control.

“I was so low that two weeks into filming The X Factor I’d started using cocaine to get me through the run of the show. It numbed my pain. It lifted me up enough to be ready to fire on all cylinders and forget about everything but the show.”

“I would pray, ‘God, I’m sorry for taking cocaine, but please God help me get through this day’.

The drug - which she took six lines of each day - was of easy access to Mel, she added: "It took less than a minute to get my hands on a regular supply."

Lily Allen confirms she did have sex with Liam Gallagher - while he was still married to Nicole Appleton

She's penned a tell-all book about her celebrity antics.

And one of Lily Allen's boldest revelations is that she had sex with Oasis rocker Liam Gallagher - while he was still married to All Saints' Nicole Appleton.

The incident is said to have happened on board a flight to Japan, where they were both performing at the Fuji Rock Festival in July 2009.

The singer also suggests that they had another tryst in the Asian country - then lied about it to cover their tracks.

As detailed in The Sun , the confession forms part of Lily's autobiography, My Thoughts Exactly.

In it, she writes: “We got hammered on the plane. At some point Liam and I found ourselves together in the toilet doing something that he shouldn’t have been doing, and it wasn’t drugs. Then we were in a lie-down bed together.

“When we landed in Tokyo, Liam said, in his distinctive nasal twang, ‘What you doing now? Why don’t you come back to our hotel . . .  I was like, ‘Yeah, OK.’

Conveniently, she then insists that she no idea he was married to Nicole - even though their union was headline news at the time.

“It wasn’t until the next day when he said something like, ‘No one can hear about this because of Nic,’ that I clocked he was married. I knew Noel was married and I knew Liam had been married to Patsy Kensit. That was partly why I fancied him. I’d grown up an Oasis fan. I was 12 when he and
Patsy Kensit were on the cover of Vanity Fair as the coolest couple.”

Lily's latest admission comes after Lily revealed that Coldplay's Chris Martin staged an intervention over her boozing and drug use.

Explaining her motivations for the book on Instagram, she recently said: “Sooo, in my book I detail some stuff from my dark days, around the ‘Sheezus’ era, I slept with female escorts when I was on tour, cause I was lost and lonely and looking for something.

“I’m not proud, but I’m not ashamed. I don’t do it anymore. Just wanted to give you Er, the ‘heads up’.”

DMX pleads guilty to fraud, dodging $1.7 million in taxes

Rapper DMX pleaded guilty to tax fraud Thursday, admitting he concealed millions of dollars in revenue to dodge $1.7 million in taxes he'd otherwise owe.

DMX, also known as Earl Simmons, faces up to five years in prison when he is sentenced in Manhattan federal court.

Judge Jed Rakoff set sentencing for March 29, though the date is likely to be postponed as DMX continues rehabilitation for drug and alcohol issues. The 46-year-old hip-hop artist and actor was arrested last summer.

In a release, acting U.S. Attorney Joon Kim said DMX evaded the Internal Revenue Service by insisting to be paid in cash whenever possible and by having royalty payments diverted to the accounts of others, including managers.

Authorities said the IRS had been pursuing DMX since at least 2005, when the agency realized he had managed to evade paying $1.7 million in taxes on millions of dollars in income he amassed from 2002 through 2005 as his hip-hop records sold millions.

Kim said DMX was "systematically cheating on his taxes."

The prosecutor said DMX had decided to do the right thing and plead guilty and agree to pay his taxes.

"No matter who you are or whatever fame you may have achieved, the law applies equally to all, and no one is exempt from the shared obligation to pay our taxes," Kim said.

Prosecutors said in a release that DMX also did not file tax returns from 2010 through 2015, when he evaded paying taxes by maintaining a cash lifestyle, avoiding use of a personal bank account and paying bills through money put in the bank accounts of others.

They said he deposited hundreds of thousands of dollars in royalty income from music recordings into the bank accounts of his managers, who gave him cash. The government said he also participated in a "Celebrity Couples Therapy" television show in 2011 and 2012 in exchange for $125,000, but refused to participate for a time until the producer agreed to provide paychecks without withholding taxes.

Prosecutors said DMX also filed a false affidavit in U.S. Bankruptcy Court listing his income as "unknown" for 2011 and 2012 and as $10,000 for 2013, even though he made hundreds of thousands of dollars in income during those years.

A lawyer for DMX did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

In court Thursday, the rapper seemed to deflect some of the blame, saying he "put other people in charge of me" during years when he was producing hits, including the 2003 song "X Gon' Give it to Ya."

Still, he said: "I'm responsible. ... I failed to file taxes."

Beyoncé and Jay Z's love story - From secret relationship to expecting twins

Beyoncé and Jay Z will celebrate nine years of marriage this year - and they've got a lot to be happy about after announcing they're expecting twins.

The couple, who tied the knot in 2008, have just announced the pregnancy.
Queen Bey took to Instagram to post a picture of her pregnant belly.

Alongside it she wrote: "We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes. - The Carters".

The couple already have five-year-old daughter Blue Ivy together.
After hearing the happy news, we've taken a look back over their love story, from their secret relationship to their publicly-celebrated romance.
After their loved-up displays and speculation about their future, where did it all begin for the king and queen of hip-hop?

Shawn Corey Carter and Beyoncé Giselle Knowles first clapped eyes on each other in 2001 but it wasn't until a year later, when they collaborated on hit track Bonnie & Clyde, that sparks really started to fly. Bey was still a teen at the time - Jay was 12 years her senior.
“I was 18 when we first met, 19 when we started dating. There was no rush. No one expected me to run off and get married,” the pop stunner later said.

And that's exactly what they did - took it slow and built a friendship before falling in love.
“We were friends first, for a year and a half, before we went on any date, [we were] on the phone for a year and a half. And that foundation is so important in a relationship. And just to have someone that you just like, is so important. And someone that is honest."

Following the release of Bonnie & Clyde it wasn't long before rumours that the couple were involved romantically began whirling around, though they always remained tight-lipped about any romance - and would do so for years.

But despite never publicly acknowledging they were lovers, they regularly popped up courtside at various basketball matches, fashion shows and other fancy A-list events.
It wasn't until 2004 that they made their very first red carpet debut as a pair at the MTV Video Music Awards in scary matching outfits they've probably tried to erase all memory of.
Understandably, the world went a little bit wild about it all.

In 2007 the Drunk In Love singer stepped out with a whopper of a sparkler – a $5million, 18-carat Lorraine Schwartz-designed whopper to be precise - on her engagement ring finger. And again, the world got very excited.

They then tied the knot in a private ceremony at their Tribeca home in April2008. Cue mega-million pound magazine deals to add to their already enormous fortune? Not for these two.
A year later in 2009 Forbes ranked the savvy business duo as Hollywood's top-earning couple. The lovers and savvy business duo also made more than any other celebrity couple last year
.
In 2010, after years of tours, features films, and hit records, Beyoncé announced she wanted to take a break to focus on hubby Jay, while also hinting that she was keen to start popping out little mini Jay and Beys soon.

“I did it for my sanity, my life, my relationships, my nephew, my husband, my sister and my friendships,” she said of her career break. “I can decide I want to have kids. I can be the mother I want to be."

Seven years after they made the red carpet debut at the MTV VMAs, they were back with some other very exciting news – the singer was expecting the couple's first child.

Glowing in a floor-skimming red gown, the mum-to-be proudly showed off her growing baby bump to snappers - and Twitter exploded.

Bey's bump even broke the social media site's record for most related tweets per second.
Later she said: “I didn't want a crazy picture or gossip story to break the news, so I decided to say nothing and proudly show my baby bump.”

Following the baby news the pair gradually grew more and more comfortable with PDAs. They were even spotted on double dates with high-profile pals Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow. And since the birth of their first bubba Blue Ivy Carter in January 2012 in New York, the once notoriously private pair have become even more open about their love for one another.

In an official statement released after Blue's birth, the rapper and Bey announced: “Her birth was emotional and extrememely peaceful, we are in heaven. We are thankful to everyone for all your prayers, well wishes, love and support.”

In late 2013 the singer then surprised the world with a visual album and also released a string of video features where she spoke candidly about home life for the very first time.
In one clip she declared: “Nothing feels like my child singing “mummy”. No, nothing feels like when I look my husband in the eyes, nothings feels like when I'm respected, when I get on the stage and I see I'm changing people's lives.”

And as she took her sell-out Mrs. Carter World Tour around the globe, she continued to treat us all to an intimate look at family life with a steady stream of candid behind-the-scenes pictures of the pair stealing smooches and gazing lovingly at each other.

Meanwhile Jay was making his own public declarations of love. When he picked up his Grammy for Holy Grail, the Justin Timberlake collaboration, he pointed to his wife in the crowd and said, “I want to thank God, I mean a little for this award, but mostly for that and all the universes for conspiring and putting that beautiful light of a young woman in my life.”

Moments later he gave a shout-out to his mini bundle of joy: “And I want to tell Blue that look, Daddy got a gold sippy cup for you!”

By 2014 rumours of a family feud hit the headlines after incredible footage emerged showing Jay Z being attacked in a lift by Beyoncé's sister Solange.

The family later hushed rumours they were at war with a series of happy pictures of her and her sister on her Instagram account before 7am New York time the day after the footage was leaked.
The four upbeat pictures show the sisters smiling and grinning, with one snap appearing to be from an awards ceremony, another at Coachella festival and one from a family holiday album.
But rumours continue to dog the couple with claims that they were planning a trial separation but do not want to go ahead with a divorce.

Earlier this year, a source told The New York Post’s Page Six: "They are trying to figure out a way to split without divorcing. This is a huge concert tour and they've already gotten most of the money from the promoters up front. There are no rings, if you haven’t noticed."

In 2015, they faced claims regarding the future of their relationship for a long time, and they have surfaced again months after their anniversary.

A source told InTouch magazine: "It’s dead. Bey is sick of keeping up the ruse of happiness, and she’s done.”

The pair are said to have been in trouble since infamous footage of Beyoncé's sister Solange Knowles attacking her brother-in-law in an elevator after a 2014 Met Gala after party went viral.
Beyoncé was the headline act at the Philadelphia show and Jay was reportedly spotted watching his wife and singing along in the crowd.

A reveller posted a video of the rapper - his head covered - smiling and singing along while standing next to Nick Jonas.

But now it's clear they're happier than ever, with two new babies on the way.

Wendy Williams on Kanye West breakdown: 'I feel bad for the innocence of Saint and North'

Wendy Williams has weighed in on Kanye West's breakdown, saying she's concerned for the rapper and Kim Kardashian and feels for their kids.

The Low Lights star is being treated at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles after suffering a breakdown and his personal physician, Dr Michael Farzam, reportedly told police he had attempted to assault a staff member at the gym.

Speaking on her show on Tuesday, the TV host said: "We don’t all necessarily agree with how they make their money which is why I’m saying… Kanye should have taken time off, some people were saying, after Kim’s robbery.

"When you have a 21-city tour and you’ve already signed papers and you need money, because, depending on the stories you read, everything that is glittering is not necessarily golden. You know, it costs a lot.

"I do not feel bad for Kanye and Kim only because they have built this life, but I feel bad for the innocence of Saint and North.

However, Wendy did go on to say she's concerned for both Kanye and Kim and wishes them both well.

"I am concerned for them though. Don’t get used to hearing this out of my mouth. No, but I am concerned for them. I do feel Kanye… lost his mum.

"The anniversary [of her death] was November 20 so you can imagine - or maybe you can’t - what this man is going through.

Though she couldn't resist taking a little swipe, adding: "If he is looking at the Kardashians as being his only family, well, good luck with that."
