A woman has appeared on This Morning where she has admitted being duped by a love rat who claimed to be a widower but actually had 'four or five wives'.
Kim
Sow sat down with hosts Phillip Schofield and Amanda Holden where she
revealed she was "the happiest woman in the world" after meeting a
handsome Senegalese musician.
The pair met in a nightclub in London while 49-year-old Kim was scouting for a new music project.
They instantly hit it off and Laye explained he had been left widowed with three children.
After dating for some time the pair travelled to his home
country of Senegal where they had a wedding ceremony, before legally
tying the knot in England in June 2008.
Kim said: "I was so
happy. One of the attractions for me was I couldn't have children. I was
thrilled to be marrying a man who had three children. They were the
apple of my eye. I even bought a house in Dover so we could all as a
family move in together.
"I was the happiest woman in the world thinking I had a family, and it all came crashing down."
Kim later found on Laye had an affair but he explained he was
missing his children, who were still in Senegal, and would undergo
counselling.
Kim explained: "I had only uncovered the surface.
Through the power of Facebook I was able to find out he had four or five
wives since 2002.
"He was married to an African woman who did
die and then he married a Dutch woman. He married a couple of months
after an African woman, who had two children. Then it's possible he
married an English woman, and then he married me.
"I had checked him out thoroughly, I met him in the UK. This is what happens with a holiday love rat."
Host
Phillip Schofield explained these were only allegations being made
against the man and he had not been charged with anything.
