Police hunt limping beast who launched serious sexual assault on 12-year-old in broad daylight

A manhunt has been launched to find a limping sex beast who attacked a 12-year-old girl in broad daylight.

The vile fiend struck as the schoolgirl wandered down a pathway in the Hillfields area of Bristol in the middle of the afternoon.

The young girl was cutting along a path between a car wash on Acacia Road and Gorse Hill at about 4pm on Saturday March 28, when the beast pounced.

He then subjected her to a shocking sex attack, before fleeing, leaving the girl traumatised.
Police launched an investigation after the attack was reported on Wednesday.

The suspect is described as a white or mixed race man in his mid-20s, around 5ft 10ins tall of slim build but with a limp on his left side.

He was wearing a black hooded top with a face covering, black jogging bottoms with blue stripes and black Nike trainers.

Det Insp Adam Bunting, Avon and Somerset Police, said: “We know this will be a concerning incident for local residents and the wider community but I want to reassure people that we have launched a full investigation into this incident.

“We’re ensuring the victim and her family are receiving all the help and support they need.

“We have a team of skilled officers working on this case and there will be increased levels of policing activity around the area throughout today. We'll also be carrying out additional reassurance patrols of the area.

“I would like to speak to anyone who recognises the description of the offender, or who may have seen a man acting suspiciously in the area where the incident happened, either on Saturday March 28 or within the past few weeks.”
