Christian Bagley, 30, was discovered in a pool of blood after being knifed several times in the back and arm.

The proud father knocked on people's doors late at night asking for help before collapsing unconscious in a quiet terraced street.

Relatives said he had just visited his 19-month-old daughter Lara who lives with her mother after they split up soon after the baby was born.

Christian had access to the toddler twice a week and he had been to see her at her mother's home in Hunderton, Hereford, on Sunday night.
