Jose Mourinho has taken another shot at old foe Rafa Benitez.
The Portuguese is in Mexico to coach a team of legends during FIFA’s conference in the Central American nation.
And when performing his press duties, Mourinho couldn’t resist a pop at the Spaniard when asked about former club Real Madrid.
"If Zidane wins the Champions League then everyone will forget about the problems that the club experienced pre-Christmas before the change of coach and the enduring memory will be that of a 11th European Cup win,” he said.
“For a team with a bad start that presents a massive opportunity to gloss over the season as a whole.”
The Portuguese has waged an on-and-off war against his Spanish counterpart for many years.
Benitez began the season as Real Madrid manager but was sacked in January after a poor run of results and particularly a humiliating 4-0 clásico defeat at home to Barcelona.
He has since taken over at Newcastle United, who were relegated from the Premier League on Wednesday night.
