The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral
Commission (INEC), Professor Atahiru Jega, on Wednesday confirmed the
readiness of the electoral body to conduct the 2015 general elections
scheduled to take place next.
Professor Jega gave the assurance at a meeting with Civil Society
Organisations in Abuja to assess INEC’s preparedness for the conduct of
the elections, which is expected to begin on March 28.

personnel that will be deployed for the exercise, especially in the
north east where troops are currently battling to flush out boko haram
insurgents.
