Ogun State public servants under the aegis of the Joint
National Public Service Negotiating Council have commenced a three day
warning strike over alleged non remittance of cooperative deductions by
the state government to different cooperative societies
A visit to the Governor’s Office located at Oke Mosan in Abeokuta,
the state capital, revealed that workers were absent from their duty
posts in compliance with the directives of the Negotiating Council
Reacting to this development, the State Head of Service, Mrs Modupe
Adekunle, appealed to the striking workers to show understanding,
especially in the face of the dwindling revenue from the federation
account, promising that steps are being taken by government to pay the
deductions.
Mrs Adekunle also assured the workers of government’s positive
response to this development and called for understanding from the
workers.
