A man shot himself dead at a casino buffet after it revoked his lifetime supply of free meals.
John
Noble was left devastated when the M Resort and Spa Casino, near Las
Vegas, banned him from the premises for hitting on female employees.
The
53-year-old, who suffered from mental illness, compiled a 270-page
testimony and recorded a two-hour DVD detailing his struggles after he
was banished from the buffet in Henderson, Nevada.
The package was sent to reporters at the Las Vegas Review-Journal and arrived a day after his suicide on Easter Sunday.
At
4.50pm security staff were called to deal with a fire in the casino's
car park before gunshots were heard inside, Henderson Police said.
Officers then found Mr Noble inside with a single self-inflicted gunshot to the head.
He
had been given the free food privileges in 2010 after being named an M
'biggest winner' but the voucher was revoked three years later.
He
embarked on a relentless online campaign to have his voucher
reinstated, threatening to commit suicide on Easter Sunday in 2013 and
even stalking a casino employee.
Casino managers banned him from
the premises three weeks before the shooting, at which time he spent
three days in a state psychiatric ward, the New York Daily News reports.
Upon
his release, Noble continued his crusade, taking to Facebook to share M
workers' personal information and complain about his plight, his
still-existing profile shows.
"Nobody will help me," Noble says in a portion of the DVD that the newspaper posted.
"You've got to fight for what you believe in, and I believe I was unjustifiably kicked out."
"That's the trouble — people do not get involved," he says in the video.
"That's why this world is so screwed up.
"Have a little decency, people.
"Some people are reaching out for help and they don't get it."
The
M Casino has declined to comment on the shooting but vice president of
marketing Scotty Rutledge confirmed staff were undergoing grief
counselling.
