Former President of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, has
urged Ogun traders to “vote as they did last Saturday” during the
Presidential and National Assembly elections.
The former president made this appeal when he visited traders at the
Itoku market in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, to mark the Easter
celebration.
The former president justified his visit to the market saying as “a
member of the community, I have the right to visit my people especially
in the spirit of Easter.
“Since I came back, I have not really visited any market. I have come
to do two things. I have come to give them Easter greetings and to find
out how they are doing in their market.
“This is my community. As a member of the community, I want to know
what’s going on and what’s happening in the community, ” Obasanjo
stated.
