A hot tempered woman repeatedly stabbed her boyfriend because he ate all the salsa, police say.
Phyllis Jefferson was with her boyfriend Ronnie Buckner at his flat when she started complaining he was taking too much of the spicy dip.
The 61-year-old told police Jefferson, 50, began shouting and stabbed him in the pelvis with a pen, Sky News reports.
He said she then tried to knock over his television.
As he caught the appliance, she stabbed him in the stomach with a kitchen knife, according to Mr Buckner.
Mr Buckner was taken to hospital but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Police said Jefferson drove away after Sunday's incident at the flat in Akron, Ohio, and was arrested on an interstate highway.
