How 3 children died in Lagos fire

Tragedy struck in a community in Isolo area of Lagos after an over night fire outbreak killed three children of the same parents.

The death of the three children was made public by the director of Lagos state fire service, Rasak Fadipe. He said that the victims were all females.

It was gathered that the parents of the children had locked them up in their apartment and left before the fire consumed them

NAN reports say that  Fadipe gave the names of the victims as Christiana Raman,12; Oluwaferomi, 7; and Oluwapelumi.

Fadipe added that the tragedy occurred at about 4 a.m. at Mechanic Village, Jakande Estate near Oke Afa, Isolo.

The firefighter boss said that preliminary investigation showed that a vehicle loaded with plastic containers containing petroleum products ran into parked vehicles in the area and the impact resulted in fire.

“The fire affected eight lock up shops, three houses and three vehicles.The dead children were found in one of the shops. We did not know that there were human beings in any of the shops when our men arrived.We discovered it later. The corpses were handed over to the police from Ejigbo Division,’’ Fadipe said.
