Roger Federer has won his seventh Cincinnati Masters title after beating world No 1 Novak Djokovic in straight sets.
The 17-time Grand Slam champion turned back the years with a classic performance to win 7-6, 6-3 in just 90 minutes on Sunday.
The Swiss second seed, playing Djokovic for the first time since losing to him in the Wimbledon final for a second straight year last month, easily handled his service games throughout the match and employed an attacking style against the serve.
After cruising through the first set tie-break, Federer earned the only break of the match in the second game of the second set, and went on to brush aside his rival with ease.
"I tried to really mix it up on his second serve and I was hoping to serve good enough myself to keep me out of trouble," Federer said after the match.
