The TY Danjuma Foundation has empowered 50 displaced Chibok women and men at their camp in Pegi village, Kuje, Abuja.
The beneficiaries were presented sewing machines, pressing irons and generators after receiving training in tailoring for some weeks.
The vocational training and equipment were facilitated by the All Children Charity International Foundation founded by Ranti Dauda, a lawyer.
Speaking during the presentation of the equipment on Friday, an official of the Danjuma Foundation, Dare Ojo, said the assistance rendered to the beneficiaries was part of the mandate of the foundation as “a philanthropic organisation.”
He stated that the vocational training and equipment were meant to empower the beneficiaries and make them self-reliant.
