Islamic State affiliate claims Yemen attacks in Aden

A new Islamic State affiliate in Yemen has claimed responsibility for attacks in the port city of Aden that killed at least 15 people.

In a statement posted Tuesday afternoon on Twitter accounts close to the militants, it said four suicide bombers targeted Saudi, Emirati and Yemeni troops.

It said bomber Abu Saad al-Adani drove a truck bomb and then suicide bomber Abu Mohammed al-Sahli followed him and attacked the al-Qasr hotel, the government headquarters, killing those inside.

It said bombers Aws al-Adani and Abu Hamza al-Sanaani attacked a UAE military administrative headquarters.

Emirati and Saudi officials had blamed the Shiite Houthi rebels they are fighting in Yemen's civil war for the attack. The Houthis have not commented on the attack.
