Boko Haram: December deadline achievable –NAF

Air Officer Commanding, Tactical Air Command (AOC TAC) of the Nigerian Air Force, Air Vice Marshal Rufus Ojuawo, has assured Nigerians that the December deadline given by President Muhammadu Buhari to the military to rout Boko Haram is achievable.

Speaking with newsmen in Ibadan, Oyo State capital yesterday, during his two-day official visit, where he was received by the Commander, NAF Base, Ibadan, Air Commodore Emmanuel Akinbayo, Ojuawo said the rate of bombing in the North-East has been going down in the past two weeks, adding: “That shows that we are winning. By God’s grace, December deadline is achievable.”

Akinbayo paid a courtesy call on the state governor’s office in Ibadan, where he was received by the Deputy Governor, Otunba Moses Adeyemo, and top government officials. Adeyemo, who noted that development would elude any place where there is no peace, lauded security agencies for the good job they have been doing in the North-East against insurgency, urging them to nip the menace in the bud.
