Man pushes friend to death during heated argument

A 32-year-old man, Ojo Eseyin has been accused of killing his friend, one Abdullahi Ogunmuyiwa by pushing him during a heated argument.

Detectives from Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department of Lagos State Police Command had arraigned Eseyin before an Ebute-Metta Magistrate Court on charge of manslaughter.

In the charge, the Police alleged that Eseyin killed his friend, on January 13, at Oke-Isanlu Junction, Ikotun.

On the day of the incident, Eseyin and Abdullahi had engaged in a heated argument which led to an altercation. Another friend intervened to settle the argument, but Eseyin, who was reportedly furious ignored the friend and pushed the deceased who fell and hit his head on a pavement, which led to his death
The offence is punishable under Section 221 of the criminal law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2011.

The Magistrate, M. O. Oladoye granted the accused bail in the sum of N500, 000 and two sureties and the matter was adjourned till March 29.
