The organizers are looking forward to welcoming international attendees — IT professionals, consultants and managers from organizations seeking information about the latest cloud and big data developments. Researchers in these two areas are encouraged to submit research papers, which will be presented to attendees during the conference proceedings.
Papers will be selected by the ISC Cloud & Big Data Research Paper Committee, which is chaired by Prof. Wolfgang Nagel of TU Dresden, Germany. The committee encourages the submission of high-quality papers reporting original work in theoretical, experimental, and industrial research and development in the following areas:
Cloud Computing
- Novelties in cloud infrastructures, architectures, and models
- Cloud reliability
- Private and public clouds
- Federation of infrastructures, interoperability techniques in heterogeneous cloud environments
- Security and privacy in the cloud
- Cloud management
- HPC in the cloud
- Big data in the cloud
- Novel cloud programming models
- Cloud applications and services (SaaS)
- Algorithms, models, and systems
- Big data architectures and infrastructure
- Data quality and integration
- Data management and data life cycle
- Data mining, information retrieval, and knowledge extraction
- Security and privacy for big data
- Big data analytics (visual, text, statistical, but also threat detection)
- Social media and mobile communication
- Big data and smart data applications in science and industry
- Future trends
The research track will comprise of several research paper sessions that are based on the call for papers. The conference kicks off with various workshops on Monday, September 28, and the research paper sessions will be held Tuesday and Wednesday.
Other Opportunities
The organizers welcome ideas for workshop in the cloud computing and big data areas. Please contact Josiah Tabor to find out how you can host a workshop.
This year’s conference offers a unique program consisting of business, technology and research tracks. The business track will present diverse case studies focusing on cloud and big data implementations, designed for the industry. It will also demonstrate how emerging technologies can be beneficial to different organizations, whereas the technology track will cover data analytics, hardware infrastructures, tools, and other cloud and big data technologies. The track will be useful for those selecting and deploying cloud and big data infrastructure.
