Properties worth N100m have been destroyed in three local government areas in Bauchi State.
This was disclosed by the Secretary of humanitarian coordination team of the State Emergency Management Agency, SEMA, Abubakar Umar, while speaking with newsmen in Bauchi on the extent damage by the flood in the state.
According to him, hundreds of farmlands and houses were destroyed by flood in Misau, Darazo, and Tafawa Balewa local government areas of the state.
Abubakar the State Emergency Agency in collaboration with other relevant stakeholders were working to ensure that relief materials were provided to the affected communities.
He said that most of the flood victims were taking refuge in the houses of their relatives and residents in the state against building houses on waterways as Bauchi State was among the states earlier predicted would experience flood this year.
