Two teens die as car crashes into wall

Two people have died and a third is in a critical condition after a car smashed into a wall and a house was set on fire.

The vehicle in which they were travelling left a road in Rostrevor, County Down, and the collision with the wall caused a fire in an oil tank that spread to a house.

A woman in the house was taken to hospital for shock, Police Service Northern Ireland revealed.

Inspector Stephen Humphries said: "We are working to establish the circumstances of the collision and I am appealing for witnesses to come forward.

"I would also like to hear from anyone who was travelling on the Kilbroney Road prior to the time of the collision and who may have seen a silver Volkswagen Bora on the road. The number to call is 101."

No further information is available except that the three males in the car are believed to be in their late teens.
